It was a big week!
Not only was I a finalist in the Queensland Figurative art prize but I also had my work in the ArtExpo2016 in Milan.
The exhibition opening at the Petrie Terrace Gallery in Brisbane for the Figurative Art Prize was a great event. I was proud to have my painting displayed with such a high calibre of work. The society had given my piece a great spot as you can see in the photo.
Then this weekend the Art Expo in Milan opened. I was so excited to see where my piece had been hung. The piece was a photograph called “Our lady of the laneways”. It was a conceptual piece and my beautiful model Amy helped my vision come to fruition.
The event looks amazing – I’ve attached a few photos.
My piece is to the very right with lots of colour.
My piece is to the very left here.
Now back to earth as I continue working on the big Warrior Women exhibition “Her Story” which opens in November.
This is why I love being an artist!
